Let us introduce you to the family:
Wallace Kunkel - Also known as Mr. Sawdust, was most recognized for his work with the DeWalt radial arm saw. He was also a fine furniture maker, often making accurate reproductions of museum pieces that no one else was allowed to touch. He raised several sons who have become woodworkers of their own right.
Marc Kunkel - Started as a trim carpenter with his brother, Wally, they were approached with the opportunity to start building high end libraries. They started a shop together, and ran it for several years. Now, he has been involved in running a few shops. With nearly 40 years of experience, he is capable of almost any work that comes our way.
Wally Kunkel - Vice President of 10-31 Industries, where he builds cabinets, and art/antiquities displays. He has been teaching his son, Lafe, to become a woodworker.
Bruce Kunkel - Spending many years as head carver at the Gibson Custom Shop, some of Bruce's guitars can be seen in the Smithsonian and the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame. He has since started his own guitar company, Kunkel Guitars, producing very high end acoustic guitars.
Jeff Kunkel - While he has done furniture restoration for a living, he is perhaps better known for his carving. He did a large series of "paint brush people" (carved paint brushes with faces in the bristles).
Carl Kunkel - Largely a home craftsman, he builds beautiful dobros (slide guitar with a resonator in the body). He also sometimes works for Wally at 10-31 Industries.
Mike Kunkel - Started as an architectural millworker at the age of 21, he is starting to expand his learning to all other aspects of woodworking.
