People magazine did a feature on the Paisleys, their new home, and new child, in their December 2007 Country Special issue. In the article was this picture, in which you can see the carved mantle we did.

The Paisleys had a reception shortly after finishing their home. Marc was in attendance and was able to see our work complete with finish. As a thank you for their business, we gave the Paisleys a hand carved mouse that they had wanted as a gift. Brad painted it himself, and it attaches to a hole in the baseboard by a magnet.

Brad wanted a wildlife scene carved on his log mantle, so we designed this for him. The carving features a mountain lion, a squirrel, bears, deer, and even a train in the distance. Also, on top of the mantle, we inlaid three red oak butterflies, in order to minimize further splitting down the length of the log.

This massive door belongs to country star, Brad Paisley. He wanted the outside of the door (which was made by another company with the intention of having it carved) to have his property carved on it. The idea is that when you open the door, you look through the house and see the same thing that you were just looking at on the door. We spent many hours hand carving this beauty.
